On 11 August 2016, Royal Thai Embassy in Brasilia, together with Team Thailand members in Brazil, organized a reception to celebrate the 84th Birthday Anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit of Thailand at Novotel Rio de Janeiro Parque Olímpico, Rio de Janeiro, with support from PTTEP and CP group. General Yuthasak Sasiprapha, Chairman of the Olympic Committee of Thailand, presided over the event and led all the participants, including the delegation of Thai athletes and trainers attending the Olympics, to pay respect and tribute to Her Majesty the Queen. In this occasion, H.E. Mr. Pitchayaphant Charnbhumidol, the Ambassador of Thailand to Brazil, also congratulated the Thai Olympic medalists and encouraged the Thailand’s team by presenting special gifts to all the athletes and participants.
