On 3 August 2016, Mrs. Kobkarn Wattanavrangkul, Minister of Tourism and Sports paid a working visit to the Russia Federation and had dialogues with executives of 2 russian agencies, namely,

             (1) Mr. Vitaly Mutko, Minister of Sports: The issues of discussion include cooperation on the expertise exchange on sports, the sport destination for international sport training, a plan to take Thai football to FIFA within 10 years, winter sport promotion, development of educational institutes to cover various dimensions such as psychology, science, medicine, as well as development of lifetime sport professionals.  

             (2) Mr. Oleg Safonov Head of Federal Agency for Tourism (Rosturim): Both sides discussed the issues of safety of Russian tourists, development of Russian speaking personnel for tourism, policy to become quality leisure destination and income distribution by introducing new hidden gems in different provinces all over the country.
