             On 7 August 2016, the Royal Thai Embassy in Ottawa organized a Buddhist ceremony to celebrate the auspicious occasion of Her Majesty the Queen’s 7th Cycle Birthday Anniversary 12th August 2016 at Ratchadhamviriyaram 1 Temple in Ottawa. The ceremony was presided over by Ambassador Vijavat and Mrs. Wannipa Isarabhakdi and was participated by many members of the Thai community in Ottawa and Canadian friends. In honour of Her Majesty the Queen, all participants dressed in blue, the colour of the Queen.
              During the ceremony, Ambassador Vijavat expressed profound gratitude and appreciation for Her Majesty’s countless contributions to the country and for devoting her time working tirelessly alongside His Majesty the King to improve the quality of life of all the Thai people. On behalf of the Thai community in Canada, Ambassador Vijavat also humbly wished Her Majesty great happiness, good health, and long life. The ceremony included a blessing chant, meditation, dhamma talk, and merit making to pay homage to Her Majesty who is not only the Queen of Thailand but also the Mother of the Nation.
