On 7 August  2016, the Royal Thai Embassy in Abu Dhabi organized a cycling event to celebrate the auspicious occasion of  Her Majesty the Queen’s 7th Cycle Birthday Anniversary 12th August 2016. The cycling event was organized at Yas Marina Circuit, Yas Island Abu Dhabi which is the famous circuit for the Abu Dhabi Formula 1.  The cycling event was presided over by H.E. Mr Komate Kamalanavin, Ambassador of Thailand to the UAE and was attended by Mr Unnop Buranasate, Consul General of Thailand to Dubai, officials from the Royal Thai  Embassy and Royal Thai Consulate-General and members of the Thai community in the United Arab Emirates. The event gathered almost 60 persons. After the cycling event, a candlelight ceremony to pay respect to HM the Queen and the signing of the book of homage was held at the Royal Thai Embassy.
