H.E. Mr. Apichart Chinwanno, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs will pay a visit to the Republic of India during 4 – 6 August 2016 to co-chair the 4th Indian - Thai Foreign Office Consultations (FOC) with the Secretary (East) of the Ministry of External Affairs of India in New Delhi. His accompanying delegation comprises representatives from various authorities concerned of Thailand.

The 4th FOC will be a forum for the Permanent Secretary, his counterparts and the delegations of both sides to exchange views and to follow up on the issues discussed between the Prime Minister and H.E. Mr. Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India during the Prime Minister’s official visit to India in June 2016. The forum also aims to move forward the pending issues and to further enhance cooperation and deepen relations between the two countries in all dimensions, including economics, defense and security, as well as social, religious and cultural relations, and multilateral front. Moreover, issues to be raised will include connectivity; trade and investment; cyber security; tourism; particularly on Buddhist aspect; activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations  between Thailand and India, as well as collaboration between private sectors of both sides.   

During the visit, H.E. Mr. Apichart Chinwanno, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs will also pay a courtesy call on the Minister of External Affairs of India.
