On 14 July 2016, Mr. Chirachai Punkrasin, Ambassador of Thailand, chaired the meeting between Team Thailand in Australia and Honorary Consuls-General/Consuls in Australia and Papua New Guinea.  The meeting discussed the consular regulations and functions of Honorary Consular officers with emphasis on the protection of Thai Nationals.  In addition, the Honorary Consuls-General/Consuls exchanged views with the Consul-General in Sydney and the members of Team Thailand in Australia on the promotion of Thailand’s interests in Australia and Papua New Guinea.
