On 1 July 2016, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held the 4th MFA CEO Forum with a focus on PTT PLC, a key business that secures the country’s energy security. The Forum met with enthusiastic participation of Ambassadors and members of the diplomatic corps from 36 countries.
After an introduction by Deputy Permanent Secretary Vitavas Srivihok, Mr. Tevin Vongvanich, President and Chief Executive Officer of PTT Public Company Limited, offered the audience a close look into Thailand’s largest energy company, PTT PLC. Mr. Vongvanich introduced the national energy business and PTT Group’s investment in the energy supply chain ranging from upstream to downstream business both in the country and abroad. He shared how the company operates its business in line with the principles of sustainable development and the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy, as well as his visionary solutions for the country’s energy of tomorrow.
The MFA CEO Forum has continued to bring Thailand’s top CEOs to engage with Ambassadors as well as the diplomatic corps since February 2016 in order to show the country’s economic potential from the leading private sector’s perspective. The Forum is also intended to serve as a platform to explore possibility of economic and business cooperation between Thailand and foreign countries.
