            On the Auspicious Occasion of the Seventieth Anniversary Celebrations of His Majesty’s Accession to the Throne, Mrs. Sutthiluck Sa-ngarmangkang, Consul-General of Thailand, the Consulate-General’s officials and staff, Yanviriya Buddhist Temple in Vancouver, Buddapnayanuntarama Buddhist Monastery in Burnaby, and members of Thai community from across British Columbia and beyond jointly organized a Buddhist Ceremony to wish His Majesty well and to show their respect and affection to His Majesty the King. All Thais very much appreciate all his years of services for the betterment of Thailand and Thai people.
             King Bhumibol Adulyadej has been on the throne since 1946.Throughout His Majesty’s 70 year long reign, the beloved King has lived up to his Accession Oath in 1950 that reads “ I shall reign by Dhamma, for the benefit and happiness of all the Thai people ”.
