            On 27 May 2016, Ms.Thippawan Supamitkitja, Chargé d’ affaires a.i., together with heads of Team Thailand offices in Canberra and officials of the Royal Thai Embassy met  with the delegation from the Election Commission of Thailand, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and journalists led by Mr. Nath Laoseesawakool, Director-General, Department of Election Administration, to discuss about the preparation on the general election in Thailand including the arrangement of overseas election.
           The delegation also met with Mr. Tom Rogers, Australian Electoral Commissioner, to exchange information and views on the preparation on the upcoming election in Australia and Thailand. In addition, they visited the National Electoral Education Centre (NEEC) at the Old Parliament House,
Later in the afternoon, the delegation met with the representatives of the Thai community in Canberra including members of Australia-Thailand Association (Canberra) or ATA and gave them a trial on the online registration for overseas election.
            On 28 May 2016, the delegation visited Dhammadharo Temple and met with Phra Rajsilaporn, Abbot of Dhammadharo Temple. At the temple, the delegation had an opportunity to give alms to the monks, to meet with Thai community and visit the construction of Phutthawat area.
