Songkran Festival in Madagascar

On 13th April 2014, Consul – General Chanchai Jiamboonsri organized Songkran Festival at his Residence in Antananario. Sixty Thai people in Antananarivo participated happily in this gathering. The Consul – General started the Songkran Festival by inviting the Thai community in Madagascar to pay hommage to the Bouddha statue by pouring the perfumed water. After the religious ceremony, The Thai people in Madagascar enjoyed the Thai food together.
Moreover the Consul –General hold welcoming remarks by informing the Thai community that the Royal Thai Consulate –General has various projects all year long that need cooperation from the Thai people in Madagascar such as the project on inviting the Thai monks to meet with the Thai community, the project on Thai Food Festival with cooperation of leading hotels in Madagascar and the Thai Community, The organization of the National Day on the 5th December 2014. The Thai Community in Madagascar responded positively and happily to join hand in hand with the The Royal Thai Consulate- General.
