On 21 March 2016, Ms. Sutthiluck Sa-ngarmangkang hosted dinner at the Residence in honor of Associate Professor Dr. Naowarat Cheeptham, Department of Biological Sciences, Faculty of Science, Thompson Rivers University, on occasion that Dr. Cheeptham was invited by the Department of Microbiology and Immunology, the University of British Columbia, to present a seminar on “Actinobacterial Diversity in Volcanic Caves and Associated Geomicrobiological Interactions with Their Potential in Biotechnology” to be held on 22 March 2016. Invited also were Professor Emeritus Dr. Julian Davies and spouse, Dr. David Oliver, Dr. Hao Ding and Ms. Karen Smith.

            The discussion during the dinner also included the possibilities to promote scientific cooperation between Thailand and Western Canada.
