On 31 Mrach 2016, Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha recieved the Nuclear Industry Summit (NIS) Award in recognition of Thailand's success in the total removal of all Highly Enriched Uranium (HEU) at Walter E. Washington Convention Center, Washington DC, the United States of America.
