            On 9 March 2016, at 15.00 hrs., Dr. ArkasPattanaruenglai, Senior Advisor to the Department of Medical Services, Ministry of Public Health of Thailand, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. ThongchaiChasawath, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore, to exchange information and opinions in developing cooperation between Lerdsin Hospital and National University of Singapore (NUS) as well as National University Health System (NUHS) in exchanging medical students, medical residents, young staff in the fields of Orthopedics, together with cooperation in Hand Surgery and Stem Cell Therapy, which hopefully would lead to an MOU between Thailand and Singapore. Ambassador Chasawathcomplimented that the above initiative by the Department of Medical Services is a good way to promote Thailand as the medical hub of the region by building confidence and trust between Thais and Singaporeans in the highly-professional field of medical services, which could benefit the ASEAN Community as a whole.In this regard, the Royal Thai Embassy will stand ready to help coordinate with the Singaporean side in this matter.
