On February 19, 2016 Mr.Danai Menabhodi, Charge d' Affaires of the Royal Thai Embassy in Riyadh led his officials to provide the second mobile consular services and the first mobile medical unit of this year at Buraidah, Al Qassim, 320 km. to the north from Riyadh.
In collaboration with Dr. Batool Naji and her colleagues for 3 consecutive years, the Embassy offered free medical check-ups and medicines to all 23 Thais, mostly aged 55-65 years with high blood pressure, cholesterol and sugar in blood. They were suggested to avoid smoking and eating salty and sweet.
Passport services and labour consulting were provided in this occasion. Mr. Danai also met 2 Thai students who received scholarships from University of Al-Qassim., as well as visited a Thai restaurant and a grocery shop owned by a Thai lady and her Saudi husband.
For the first time, the Embassy organized a mobile medical unit for Thais in Al Qassim in spite of small numbers of Thais living in this area. Those Thais were all impressed by the opportunities to access medical services for free of charge.
