On 15 January 2016, Mr. Jakkrit Srivali, Director-General of the Department of ASEAN Affairs, gave a warm welcome to participants from “The Second ASEAN for All: ASEAN Youth Camp for Enhancement of Language and Cultural Cooperation in ASEAN” program, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The program, hosted by Ban Somdej Chaopraya Rajabhat University, was attended by approximately 80 participants comprising of lecturers and students from ASEAN member countries.

               On this occasion, the Director-General gave a special lecture on the “Future Direction of ASEAN Community” to participants. The lecture was an overview on the ASEAN Community’s future direction and cooperation after the “2015 Kuala Lumpur Declaration on the Establishment of the ASEAN Community”. Additionally, the ASEAN 2025 Blueprints will shape ASEAN’s regional and global engagement over the next ten years. The lecture was intended to enhance knowledge and promote mutual understanding among lecturers and students, in order to prepare for the new context associated with the ASEAN Community.

          The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has developed fruitful cooperation with Rajabhat Universities through the annual “Train the Trainers” program, tailored for lecturers of Rajabhat Universities across the country. The training program strives to cultivate a better understanding of developments within the ASEAN Community through a wider dissemination of information to the education personnel of Thailand.
