            On 23 December 2015, H.E. Mr. PanyarakPoolthup, Ambassador of Thailand to Vietnam paid a farewell courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Truong Tan Sang, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam at the Presidential Palace upon the completion of his term in Vietnam. 
 
            On this occasion, President Truong Tan Sang expressed his appreciation for the successful development of the relations between Thailand and Vietnam in recent years including the exchange of high level visits and the 3rd Joint Cabinet Retreat (JCR) in which Ambassador hada significant contribution in this progress. Moreover, President of Vietnam conveyed his best regards and well wishes to the King of Thailand and the Royal Family of Thailand as well as wished Thailand every success and prosperity in the future. 
 
            H.E. Mr. PanyarakPoolthup, in return, thanked the Government of Vietnam as well as other agencies concerned for the support rendered to him during his tenure in Vietnam. He also emphasized the importance of Vietnam as the first and only country that Thailand established the strategic partnership with. Moreover, he reiterated the readiness of Thailand to work withVietnam on the celebration of the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2016.
 
            On 23 December 2015, H.E. Mr. PanyarakPoolthup, Ambassador of Thailand to Vietnam paid a farewell courtesy call on H.E. Mr.PhamBinh Minh, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam upon the completion of his term in Vietnam. 
 
            On this occasion, H.E. Mr. Pham Binh Minh expressed his appreciation for the Ambassador’s role and supportwhich had elevated the relations between Thailand and Vietnam to the new height. This included the exchange of high level visits and the 3rd Joint Cabinet Retreat (JCR). Moreover, H.E. Mr. Pham Binh Minh reiterated the importance of Thailand as the top trading partner of Vietnam in ASEANand one of the biggest investors in Vietnam. 
 
            H.E. Mr. PanyarakPoolthup, in return, thanked the Government of Vietnam and other agencies concerned for the supportand cooperation rendered to him during his tenure in Vietnam. He also conveyed that, as he would return to Bangkok for the position of Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, he would continue to support the relations between Thailand and Vietnam, especially in 2016 when both countries would celebratethe 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations.
