On 4 December 2015 at 09.30 am, Mr.Yoshitaka Akimoto, Grand Master of Ceremonies of the Imperial Household, delivered a congratulatory message from His Majesty the Emperor of Japan to His Majesty the King on this auspicious occasion at the Ambassador's Residence. Ambassador and his spouse, together with Army, Naval, Air Attaches and their spouses, as well as officials from Team Thailand in Tokyo joined the ceremony.
In the evening of 4th December 2015, the Embassy organized the reception for diplomatic corps, international organizations, Japanese government and private sectors, at the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo. There were more than 700 guests joining the event. H.E. Mr. Yasuhisa Shiosaki, Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare of Japan and Chairman of Japan-Thailand Parliamentary Friendship Association, was the Guest of Honour to give the remarks on behalf of the Japanese government. Mr. Teisuke Kitayama, Chairman of Sumimoto Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC), was the representative who proposed the toast for His Majesty the King and His Majesty the Emperor of Japan. Special Exhibition portrayed His Majesty the King's tireless dedication to his country and people and the Thai cultural performances were also exhibited in the Reception.
Lastly, the Ceremony for the Thai community in Japan was also organized at the Embassy on 5 December 2015. Ambassador Sihasak Phuangketkeow presided over the ceremony to extend best wishes to His Majesty the King on behalf of the Thai community in Japan. Embassy and Team Thailand's officials, together with their spouses also attended the event. Thai food was served and Thai cultural dances was performed in the event. There were around 200 Thais living in Japan joining the Ceremony.
