On the occasion of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s 88th Birthday Anniversary, the Royal Thai Embassy hosted a reception to celebrate this auspicious occasion on Tuesday 1st December 2015 at Hotel Adlon Kempinski Berlin. The event was honoured by Mr. Thomas Gambke, member of Bundestag and Chairman of the Parliamentary ASEAN Friendship Group, attending as the Guest of Honour, together with more than 400 guests from German government agencies, diplomatic corps and members of business sector and institutions in Germany. H.E. Mrs. Nongnuth Phetcharatana, Ambassador of Thailand to Germany, and Mr. Thomas Gambke delivered speech to honour His Majesty’s devotion to improve living conditions of Thai people through various development projects and emphasize the close cooperation between Thailand and Germany; especially in the area of dual education and renewable energy. Various attractions such as exhibition about the His Majesty King’s role on national development was displayed, musical performance by a delegation from the Department of Fine Art, Ministry of Culture of Thailand, who has been invited to play a number of royal compositions, Thai flower garland demonstration, or world’s famous Thai food served at the buffets and freshly cooked at various food stations, have greatly amused all the guests at the reception.
On December 4th, 2015, H.E. Mrs. Nongnuth Phetcharatana, Ambassador of Thailand to Germany, hosted a reception at Hotel Maritim ProArte Berlin for the Thai community in Germany to celebrate the 88th Birthday Anniversary of H.M. King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand. Almost 450 guests joined the singing of the Royal Anthem performed by the musical band from the Department of Fine Art, Ministry of Culture of Thailand, and witnessed the presentation ceremonies of the Royal Decorations for 2 Thai citizens who have continued their good works in assisting Thai people in Germany. Other highlights that also drew great attention from all the guests were various beautiful cultural performances by Thai children in Germany.
