On October 28, 2015 Admiral Harry B. Harris, Jr., Commander of the U.S. Pacific Command hosted a lunch for Ambassador Pisan Manawapat and his team at the Pacific Command Headquarters in Hawaii. Lieutenant General Anthony G. Crutchfield, Deputy Commander of the Pacific Command, and other senior military staffs attended the luncheon discussion.
Both sides discussed the long-standing, close ties between Thai and U.S. armed forces, and the importance of the Thai-U.S. alliance to the success of the Rebalance to Asia Policy of the U.S. Government.
Both sides shared the view about the need to move forward practical defense cooperation on issues of mutual interest and benefit the region as a whole.
