On 26 October 2015  H.E. Mr. Chirachai Punkrasin, Ambassador, attended a seminar organized by the Department of Agriculture and Food, Western Australia (WA) in Perth, on Thailand Beef Supply Chain, as part of WA’s Northern Beef Futures Project. The seminar hosted a delegation from the Royal Thai Government and the Thai beef business community, in response to the livestock mission to Thailand by officers from WA private sector companies in December 2014 to build on the recently concluded protocol between Thailand and Australia, enabling live export of cattle from Australia to Thailand. It is anticipated that the seminar will attract an interest from the Thai beef business community in importing live cattle from WA.

 

            During the trip, the Ambassador also met with Mr. Reuben Kooperman, Thai Honorary Consul in Perth, as well as the Thai community and Thai Company, PTTEP.
