On 16 October 2015, the Royal Thai Embassy in Lima, Faculty of Economics, Institute of Economic Investigation and Group Asia of San Marcos University jointly organised “Thai Day” event, an activity to promote awareness about Thailand and its culture, on the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Thailand and Peru.

 

            This activity was aimed at promoting information about Thailand and its cultures as well as the bilateral relations between Thailand and Peru through presentation, exhibitions and cultural shows. In this occasion Mr. Richard Hernán Roca Garay, Dean of the Faculty of Economics, gave the welcoming speech to all guests. During the event,  Mr. Nitirooge Phoneprasert, Minister Counselor of the Royal Thai Embassy gave a lecture on Thailand – Peru bilateral relations while Dr. Carlos Aquino gave a presentation on Thailand’s economy and its cooperation with Peru.

 

             Mobile exhibitions about Thailand as well as Thai arts and crafts were on display. There were cultural dance performance  which was given a warm welcome and admiration from  80 participants who were provided with Thailand information brochures.
