On 18^th September 2015, H.E. Mr. Luis Manuel Barreira de Sousa, Ambassador of Portugal to Thailand, paid a courtesy call on       H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, on the occasion of completing his tenure of office in Thailand.

                 The Foreign Affairs Minister expressed his appreciation for the ambassador’s hard work and dedication to promote Thai- Portuguese relations and cooperation, which support economic and investment, tourism, culture and education sectors between two countries. Furthermore, both had expressed opinions on political development.

                 The Ambassador expressed his appreciation to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’s support to Portuguese Embassy during his tenure and was pleased to take part in promoting relationship between Thailand and Portugal in all factors, such as, promoting the potential sectors of Thailand, especially hotels investment by Minor Company in Portugal, the Thai – Portuguese cultural and educational cooperation, the negotiation on Double Taxation Agreement, cooperation on tourism and the 1^st Thai –Portuguese Political Dialogue, which took place Thailand. Moreover, the 2^nd Thai –Portuguese Political Dialogue will take place in Portugal.

                H.E. Mr. Barreira de Sousa has served as Ambassador of Portugal to Thailand since May 2013 till October 2015.
