         On 23rd September 2015, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Thailand Research Fund (TRF) co-organised “The Role of the U.S. in the Asia – Pacific Region and The Significance to Thailand” Seminar at the Sukosol Hotel.  The opening remarks were delivered by Mr.Songsak Saicheua, Director – General of Department of American and South Pacific Affairs and Prof.Dr. Isra Sarntisart, Director of the National Policy and Transnational Relations Division, TRF.

          Forum aimed to brainstorm ideas and opinion on the U.S. strategy towards the Asia – Pacific regional affairs. Topics of discussion included Global transitions and the Asian Region, U.S. Foreign Policy and Strategy towards the Asia – Pacific Region, the U.S. – China Relationship : the International Political System and International Relations, Emerging Market Multinationals: the Significance to The Global Economic System and Future of Manufacturing: The Direction of The Manufacturing and Economic System in The Asian Region.

          More than 100 academicians and experts from both public and private sectors participated in the seminar to exchange news and ideas on the U.S.’s strategy towards Asia – Pacific region.
