On 9 September 2015, H.E. Mr. Don Pramudwinai, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, met the diplomatic corps, consular representatives, and representatives from international organizations in the reception on the occasion of his appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs. The reception was attened by over 120 guest at Vithes Samosorn, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bangkok.
The Foreign Minister stated in his opening remarks that the Foreign Ministry is committed to supporting the Government’s policy in restoring confidence, strengthening cordial relations with all countries, and most importantly, putting the well-being of Thai people first in all policy issues. He thanked the diplomatic corps for their cooperation thus far and expressed hope that they will continue to support Thailand’s foreign policy endeavors in the future. The Minister of Foreign Affairs also invited interested countries to join the projects of the Ministry’s foundation, namely “Young Ambassador of Virtue Foundation under the Patronage of H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn”, which would provide a channel for the youths of Thailand and other countries to learn more about each other and enhance people-to-people connectivity.
On this occasion, H.E. Mr. Mikael Hemniti Winther, Ambassador of Denmark to Thailand and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, congratulated the Minister of Foreign Affairs on his new appointment. The Ambassador expressed his confidence that, as an experienced and successful career diplomat, the Minister of Foreign Affairs will be able to carry out foreign policies effectively and fruitfully. On behalf of the diplomatic corps, the Ambassador conveyed full support for the Ministry’s future endeavors.
