1. During 29 August -4 September 2015, the Royal Thai Embassy in Santiago, in collaboration with local partners, organized Muay Thai Clinic at University of Santiago of Chile, República de Costa Rica College, Brigida Walker College, Las Condes Cultural Center and Chilean Olympic Training Center. Mr. Chan Ditkrajan and Mr. Kijrat Wattananurakbodee from ThaiAchira Group, the Thai boxing trainers, gave instruction of the arts of Muay Thai – Muay Chaiya to more than 300 participants.
2. On 5 September 2015, H.E. Mr. Surapon Petch-vra, Thai Ambassador to Chile, presided over the 3rd Muay Thai Championship Open: Ambassador's Trophy organized by the Royal Thai Embassy at the Olympic Training Center in Santiago in which 600 people approximately attended. Twelve Muay Thai fighters (6 matches, female included) from various Muay Thai camps in Chile participated in this year’s Championship Open. At this year competition, three boxers namely, Felipe Loyola, Pascual Lopez and Andrés Alvarez, were selected Best Boxers of the Championship and received special prize recognizing their efforts in Muay Thai.
3. In the opening ceremony, Mr. Jaime Agliati, Secretary-General of the Chilean Olympic Committee and Mr. Jorge Escarate, Director of Sport Division, representing the Mayor of Ñuñoa joined the Ambassador to give welcoming remarks.
4. During the event, Thai entrepreneurs in Chile were invited to offer their products and services to participants. In addition, the Embassy organized special performances which included singing performance by Ms. Pachara Poonsawat as well as Muay Thai and Thai sword demonstration by the trainers from ThaiAchira Group to entertain the public during the intermission. Moreover, in the activity area, there was a mobile exhibition displayed to promote Thai tourism and culture.
