1. Consul- General Brings Malaysian Businessmen to Thailand
Between 28 August-1 September 2015, Consul-General Jackrid Kanjanasoon led 8 members of Malaysian businessmen from Kelantan to visit Thailand by plane from Narathiwat to Bangkok (visit Ubul Ratchatani and Bangkok) to promote the better understanding of the situation in Thailand under the present Government as well as to promote tourism and build confidence in the southern border province. During the trip, the group visited “Chong Meg” border crossing between Thailand and Laos, and “Thao Maha Brahma” or Erawan Shrine at Ratchaprasong and the “Amazing Thailand Grand Sale 2015” at Siam Paragon in Bangkok.
2. Royal Thai Consulate General brought Malay Teachers from Kelantan to Visit Thailand
Between On 28 August-2 September 2015 Royal Thai Consulate brought 40 Malay teachers from 9 schools and administrators from academic agencies in Kelantan to Pattani Province, Bangkok and Ayutthaya Province under under the "2015 Thailand-Malaysia Cultural Exchange Program". All the schools and agency are Sultan Ismail College, Pengkalan Chepa National Secondary School, Penambang National Secondary School, SK Kampong Berangan, SMK Ismail Petra, Sekolah Kebangsaan Tawang, SMK Kubang Kerian 3, Pejabat Pendidkan Daerah Bachok and Pejabat Pendidkan Daerah Tumpat. On this trip the group had learnt about Thai culture and history, as well as got the close cooperation with Thai educational institutes personels. The Thai instutitions took part in the program are Benjamarachutit School (Pattani), and the Foundation for Islamic Center of Thailand (in Bangkok). It was one of the many programs sponsored by the Royal Thai Consulate-General, to promote people-to-people contact between the two countries, which will help addressing security issues as well as preparing the peoples for the forthcoming ASEAN Community.
