On 31 August 2015, H.E. Surasak Chuasukonthip, Ambassador of Thailand to Mexico, attended a reception held by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mexico on the occasion of the nomination of Mrs. Claudia Ruiz Massieu as new Foreign Minister. During the reception, Ambassador of Thailand congratulated Mrs. Ruiz Massieu on her new position and extended an invitation to the new Foreign Minister to visit Thailand as part of commemorating the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Mexico. Mrs. Ruiz Massieu expressed her keen interest to visit Thailand at the first opportunity.

 

            Mrs. Claudia Ruiz Massieu, 43-year-old politician, was Minister of Tourism before her recent appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs.
