On 27 August 2015, H.E. Mr. Panyarak Poolthup, Ambassador of Thailand to Vietnam, paid a call on H.E. Mr. Ta Quang Ngoc, President of the Vietnam-Thailand Friendship Association (VTFA), and the executive members of VTFA at the office of the Association to present financial assistance worth USD 4,000 for supporting the activities of the Association. 

 

            On this occasion, Ambassador Panyarak emphasized the willingness of the Royal Thai Embassy to support the activities of the Vietnam-Thailand Friendship Association like in the past.  As Thailand and Vietnam is approaching to the celebration of the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2016, Ambassador Panyarak hoped that this financial support would contribute to supporting the commemorative activities conducted by the Association in 2016. Moreover, Ambassador took this opportunity to inform the executive committee of VTFA of the important activities of the Embassy in the coming months which are the Royal Kathina Ceremony, Loy Kratong Reception, His Majesty the King’s 87th Birthday Anniversary and Thailand Day 2014 Festival. 

 

            H.E. Mr. Ta Quang Ngoc, in turn, expressed his gratitude to the Royal Thai Embassy for extending financial support to the Association, which reflects great importance the Embassy gives to the Association as the main mechanisms in promoting the relationship between the peoples of the two countries. On this occasion, Mr. Ngoc took this opportunity to express the words of sympathy to all Thai people and the families of the victims of the explosion in central Bangkok on the evening of 17 August 2015.
