Between 17-21 July 2015, Consul-General Jackrid Kanjanasoon led 88 members of “Friends of Thailand” (consisting of Members of Lions Clubs of Tanah Merah, Malaysian businessmen and personnel from private sectors) from Kelantan and Terengganu to visit Thailand by plane from Narathiwat to Bangkok (visit Narathiwat, Samut-Songkram, Ratchaburi and Bangkok) to promote better understanding of the situation in Thailand under the present Government as well as to promote tourism and build confidence in the southern border province. During the trip, the group visited Amphawa Floating Market and “Center for Special Education for Children with Disabilities” in Samut-Songkram Province where Lions Clubs and Friends of Thailand had donated sums of money for the official uses of the Center. After Samut-Songkram the group travelled to an orchid park in Ratchaburi Province and Bangkok where they visited many shopping centers and the “Amazing Thailand Grand Sale 2015” at Siam Paragon.
