On 13 May 2015, H.E. Mr. Chirachai Punkrasin, Ambassador-Designate of Thailand to Australia, presented his Letter of Credence appointing him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Commonwealth of Australia to His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia at the Government House in Canberra.  He was accompanied to the ceremony by his wife Mrs. Kanyaratana Punkrasin, Mr. Vasin Ruangprateepsaeng, Minister at the Royal Thai Embassy, Colonel Nonthawat Pakdipongpitchaya, Army Attache and Assistant Defence Attache, and Mr. Thanabordee Joothong, First Secretary.
