On 13 April 2014, H.E, PitchayaphantCharnphumibol, Thai Ambassador to Brazil and wife opened the Thai Gastronomy Week in Brasilia at EsquinnaMineira restaurant, which is one of eight participating restaurants. On the opening ceremony , the Embassy has also organized the Songkarn Festival at the restaurant  in order to present to the distinguished Brazilian guests and customers of the restaurant. In this blessing ceremony to the Budha and Ambassador and wife, Mr.JaimeRecena, Secretary of Tourism of Federal State of Brasilia, Mr>Alvaro Silveira Junior, Chairman ofChamber ofStores – Commerce)Mrs. Maris Christina de Castro Martins, Director of DASEAN department of Itamatary as well as many foreign diplomats participated to the said ceremony.

 

            The Thai Gastronomy Week will be held on 13-20 April 2014. The eventsis the cooperation between 8 top restaurants, 9 OBA supermarkets and 1 Asian stores with the support by Brazilian medias and aimed to promote Thai food and Thai food products in Brazil. Expected 500,000 Brazilians would begin to know more about Thai food and 4,000 Brazilian participants in this said Gastronomy Week.
