            On 4 April 2015 at 14.30 hrs., H.E. Mr. Bansarn Bunnag, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore presided over the “Songkran Ngarn-Wat (Songkran-Temple Fair)” event organized by Centre for Language Studies (CLS), Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, NUS, at Town Plaza in U-Town. Ambassador Bansarn gave opening remarks to welcome the participants and encourage the students who enrolled in the Thai language program. At the event, there were ‘rod nam dum hua’ (water-blessing) ceremony, traditional Thai dance show by the Thai Dance Society in Singapore, and contemporary Thai music performance by CLS students. 
 
            The Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore makes regular contributions every year in support of the Centre of Language Studies’ activities, with a view to disseminating knowledge about Thai language and culture among Singaporeans and foreigners in Singapore. Also attending the event were Mrs. Yupadee Bunnag, spouse of the Ambassador, and Team Thailand staff.
