     General Tanasak Patimapragorn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, is scheduled to pay an official visit to the United Arab Emirates during 23- 24 February 2015. The visit aims to strengthen the friendship and cooperation between the two countries especially in key areas such as energy, trade and investment, tourism and technical cooperation.

     In his first official visit to the United Arab Emirates, the Deputy Prime Minister and Ministerof Foreign Affairs is scheduled to meet with His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, to discuss ways to deepen partnership between the two countries in all areas of cooperation as well as to sign the Agreement on Security Cooperation between the Government of the Kingdom of Thailand and the Government of the United Arab Emirates.

    The Kingdom of Thailand and the United Arab Emirates have enjoyed close and cordial relations for the past 40 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1975. The cooperation between both sides has deepened in all areas, particularly in trade and investment, energy, tourism/medical tourism and labour. The United Arab Emirates is Thailand’s number one trading partner in the Middle East.
