            On the 3 December 2014, between 12.30 and 02.00PM, H.E. Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, Ambassador of Thailand, hosted His Majesty King Bhumibol’s 87th Birthday Celebration and Thai National Day, at Sala Thai, Royal Thai Embassy in Canberra. Mr. Chris Cannan, Chief of Protocol, proposed a toast to His Majesty the King of Thailand. Then, the ambassador proposed a toast to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second and gave the speech about His Royal grace, Thai political situation and economic and the relationship between Thailand and Australia and ASEAN-Australia. Moreover, Mr. Ewen Jones M.P., Australian Thai Parliamentary Friendship group, on behalf of Mrs. Julie Bishop, gave a speech about the relationship between Thailand and Australia. There were over 300 guests including the Royal Thai Embassy officials, Heads of Team Thailand in Canberra, Australian Member of Parliament and Department of Foreign Affair and Trade Australia officials.
