On 29 November 2014, the Royal Thai Consulate-General, Guangzhou participated in 2014 Guangdong International Charity Sale, organized by the Guangdong Foreign Affairs Office at TeeMall, Tianhe District, Guangzhou. The objective of this annual activity is to raise funds and donations for left-behind children and vulnerable groups in Guangdong Province, to be co-selected by Guangdong Foreign Affairs Office and Guangdong Youth Development Foundation.
Thai OTOP arts and crafts as well as high quality consumer products attracted the general publics. Leading Thai enterprises in Guangzhou such as Loxley Intertrade (Guangzhou), Thai Loyalty, Nguan Soon Co., Thongtara (Thailand) Co., and Chaimongkol Thai Restaurant also joined the Royal Thai Consulate-General in selling their products and donated profits for charity. Authentic Thai food from the “Consul-General’s Kitchen” were also well-received by Guangzhou people.
At the end of the event, the Royal Thai Consulate-General together with participating enterprises raised the total amount of 13,610 RMB (approximately 73,494 Baht) donation.
This event marks the 3rd consecutive year that the Royal Thai Consulate-General actively participated in the Charity Sale. The Royal Thai Consulate-General attaches great importance to substantive contributions, as well as involving in social responsibility activities, to the society where the Consulate is situated which reflects our close, cordial friendship and ties between Thailand and Guangdong Province.
