On 2 December 2014, General Tanasak Patimapragorn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, together with Mr. Anil Wadhwa, Secretary (East), Ministry of Foreign Affairs of India, presided over the opening ceremony of the exhibition, “พ่อ - Bapu: Love for the Nation” at Rattanakosin Exhibition Hall.
Upon the auspicious occasion of His Majesty’s 87th Anniversary, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand in collaboration with the Embassy of India, Bangkok organize this exhibition to showcase the thoughts and works on development of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Mahatma Gandhi.
The content is displayed under three themes: 1) Environmental Development, 2) Rural Development and 3) Development Philosophy, and will be available in both Thai and English.
Using multimedia display, this exhibition allows the visitors to experience rare images, documentary videos and quotes from the two great leaders as well as learn the story behind them. Display cases will also feature replicas of objects that represent the life’s works of these two renowned figures.
