The Royal Thai Embassy in Moscow supports Russia MICE Road Show 2014

            On September 16, 2014, Dr. Itti Ditbanjong, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Russian Federation delivered an Opening Remarks at the Russia MICE Road Show 2014 that Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (Public Organization) (TCEB) hosted at Park Hyatt Ararat Hotel in Moscow. Dr. Pusadee Tamthai, Deputy Governor of Bangkok,  Mr. Manan Boonyachai, General Manager of Thai Airways International in Russia and Mr. Boonyarit Vichienpuntu, Counsellor (economic affairs) also attended.
 
            This event is a part of the activities within the framework of Spotlight on Thailand in Russia 2014 organized during the entire period of September 2014.
The Royal Thai Embassy had continuously supported the organization of Russia MICE Road Show for the third year consecutively since 2012. The market of MICE industry in Russia showed much potential for further growth. This year the Russian MICE tourists were expected to increase more than 20% from the past year.
 
            Besides Moscow and St. Petersburgh, the Thai ambassador reiterated that the TCEB should consider expanding the Road Show to other Russian cities of MICE potentials such as Novosibirsk (at least 150,000 tourists in Thailand) and Vladivostok.   
 
            This year the TCEB also invited the Deputy Governor of Bangkok as one of Thailand’s MICE city to shared with the audience the strength of Bangkok to accommodate and facilitate the organization of major conferences.  
 
            During the Road Show, the TCEB also organized the business matching of around 40 companies between the Thai and Russian MICE businessmen.
