During 18-27 September 2014, the Royal Thai Consulate-General, together with Team Thailand in Dubai, consisting of Thailand Trade Center, Tourism Authority of Thailand, Thai Airways International and Thailand Business Council, organized a promotional event under the theme, the “Amazing Taste of Thailand”, to showcase Thailand through the country's exotic tastes including the culinary aspects, decorative preferences and wellness and beauty services.The event showcase an array of Thai fresh fruits, signature Thai dishes from sought-after Thai restaurants in Dubai, as well as Thai products from top importers and health and beauty service demonstration.  

 

            The 10 days-long event kicked off with a Pre-launch and Reception for the Team Thailand, exhibitors, Thai and foreign business representatives and Members of the Press on Thursday 18 September 2014, at Mövenpick Hotel, Jumeirah Lakes Towers, followed by the "Amazing Taste of Thailand" exhibition held on Friday 29 September 2014 at the Armani Ballroom, Armani Hotel, Dubai, for dignitaries, key personalities, CEOs from distinguished business community, Friends of Thailand and Members of the Press.  The exhibition was successfully created with the ambience of the Thai fresh market with an array of Thai fresh fruits on display, signature Thai dishes from sought-after Thai restaurants in Dubai included Benjarong, Blue Elephant, Chimes, Royal Orchid, Shang Thai, Thai Chi and The Royal Budha, as well as Thai products and services from Choithrams, Fakih Group of Companies, Gulf Express Group, Nuts Valley, Relax Spa, Siam Tranquility Spa, Thai Smile Food Stuff and W T International General Trading.

 

            The "Amazing Taste of Thailand" concluded with a cooking segment, "The Arts of Thai Culinary", on 27 September 2014 at Mövenpick Hotel, Jumeirah Lakes Towers, for a selected group of Diplomatic ladies and Media, with acclaimed chefs from Mövenpick Hotel, Phuket, Thailand,  and a  3 days "Thai Fruits & Delicacy Weekend" during 25-27 September 2014, where lovers of Thai cuisine who dine at the participated restaurants received complimentary Thai fresh fruits platter with every dining experience.
