On 11 September 2014, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Kota Bharu welcomed the delegation of the Office of the Narcotics Control Board (ONCB) and the Thai press who were visiting the southern border provinces of Thailand and the state of Kelantan to follow up on the issue of drug control during 2014.  Led by Mr. Permpong Chaovalit, Secretary-General of ONCB, the delegation paid a visit to the Narcotics Crime Investigation Department of  Kelantan to seek closer cooperation in tackling drug-related issues and visited the Royal Thai Consulate-General to hear a briefing on the Consulate-General’s mission, followed by a visit to the Siamese community of  Tumpat.
