On 5 – 6 September 2014, H.E. Mr. Peerasak Chantavarin, Ambassador of Thailand, together with officials from the Royal Thai Embassy in Cairo organized the mobile consular services to Thai nationals in Sharm el Sheik and Dahab in Sinai Peninsula. During the visit to Sharm el Sheik, the Embassy provided consular services including passport application and legalization to Thai citizens. In the evening, the Ambassador and consular officers had dinner with 30 Thais, mostly spa workers, and discussed about right to proper, working conditions and benefit of the Thai workers.  In Dahab, the Ambassador had a discussion with Miss Kanchulikul Yamaroon, Spa Manager of Sol Dahab Red Sea hotel, and her spa workers about ways and means to promote Thai spa in Egypt.

 

            The Ambassador stressed the importance to the Thais to preserve Thai tradition, culture and the significance of unity of Thai community. He reaffirmed that the Embassy is ready to support in all possible ways to the Thais in Egypt.
