On 23 August 2014, the Royal Thai Embassy, in collaboration with Jumbo Supermarket, organized the 67th Thai Cooking Demonstration at Jumbo Supermarket, Ñuñoa.

       At this session, Ms. Lamyai Ang-kab, chef of the Thai residence, presented the demonstration of three authentic Thai dishes; namely, Stir-fried Rice Noodles with Shrimps (Pad Thai Goong Sod), Tuna Canapé (Plaa Pla Tuna), and Cassava with Coconut Milk  (Mansampalang Gang Buad). The ingredients used in each dish are originally Thai and available in Jumbo Supermarket and Asian stores in Chile.

       During the activity, Thai fine arts of fruit and vegetable carving was also demonstrated by Mr. Somporn Damkaew, Thai Chef at Anakena Restaurant, Grand Hyatt Santiago Hotel, which helped draw attention of the Chilean public to attend the activity. Moreover, in the activity area, Thai products and mobile exhibition on Thai culture and tourism were also displayed.
