On 4-6 August 2014, H.E. Mr. Pitchayaphant Charnbhumidol,Thai Ambassador to

Brazil, visited the State of Sao Paulo to strengthen economic relations between Thailand – Brazil.  Ambassador Charnbhumidol met with several top business persons and organizations, namely, Mr. Jan Jarne, Honorary Consul General of Finliand and Business Consultant to

foreign investors, Dr. Newton de Mello, Director of the Council of Industries of Sao Paulo (FIESP),  Mr. Gabriel Rio, CEO of the American Chamber of Commerce in Brazil, and Dr.

Paulo Burtori, President of the National Council of Automotive & Automotive Parts Industries.  The results of the meetings were very fruitful and led to the enhancement of business relations between Thai and Brazilian business communities.  In addition, These meetings should help prepare for an coming visit of the Thai business delegation to be led by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand by the end of September 2014.   

In addition,  Ambassador Charnbhumidol was invited to the opening ceremony of the Green Building Council Conference& Expo 2014 where Mr.  Fernando Henrique Cardoso‏, Former President of the Federative Republic of Brazil was the guest speaker.
