Training course on mental health and basic law for Thai community in Russia

            The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand and the Royal Thai Embassy, Moscow organized a training course on mental health and basic law for Thai community in Russia on 21 and 24 June 2014 in Moscow and St. Petersburg. This project aims at providing knowledge on improving mental health and understanding about law to the Thai community abroad, which will lead to better living conditions.
            The Thai delegation, headed by H.E. Mr. Nuttavudh Photisaro, Deputy Permanent Secretary, leaded a series of activities including giving lecture on how to improve mental health and basic knowledge about law, Q&A, clinic and consultation. The lecturers are Mr. Chaiyos Punjabutrachai,  experts in law from the Office of Attorney-General of Thailand and Mr. Weerapon Unaharassamee, doctor in mental health, Somdet Chaopraya Institute of Psychiatry. 
             In this occasion, Dr. Itti Ditbanjong, Ambassador of Thailand to the Russian Federation, gave an opening speech and hosted a dinner in honour of the Thai delegation, during which both sides discussed the Embassy’s consular missions, in particular on providing assistance and protection to Thai nationals in Russia and accredited countries.
             Furthermore, the Thai delegation visited Thai Room in St. Petersburg State University, discussed with the University’s representatives about possibilities in Thai-Russian cooperation in the sphere of education and met with Thai students in St. Petersburg as well.
