The Royal Thai Embassy in Buenos Aires, together with the most well-known gastronomy institutes of Argentina namely Instituto Argentino de Gastronomia (IAG) and Mausi Sebess, organized “Thai Cooking Class” under the project “Thai Kitchen to the World”.
The Royal Thai Embassy, together with IAG which is the largest gastronomy institute in Argentina, organized “Thai Cooking Class” with a demonstration of Paneng Curry with beef, Phad Thai with shrimp, steamed rice, and Som Tam with shrimp, on 22 and 23 May, and 4 June 2014. The three classes were well attended by approximately 90 participants.
Moreover, the Royal Thai Embassy, in collaboration with Mausi Sebess which is the most well known gastronomy institute in Argentina and Latin America, organized “Master Class of Thai Cooking” with the menu red curry paste, red curry with beef and pumpkin, Salmon Choo Chee, Ho Mok seafood, and Som Tam on 23 and 26 June 2014. Both classes were well attended by more than 100 participants including current students and alumni of the institute, as well as professional chefs from five stars hotels, restaurants, chefs of foreign Ambassadors, media, food critics, and food blogger.
During the cooking class, all the participants had an opportunity to taste the demonstrated Thai menus which received very good feedbacks from participants as they could enjoy various tastes of the dish and found it different from Argentine food. Furthermore, the chef of the Royal Thai Embassy also demonstrated Thai style fruit and vegetable carving which was well admired by all the participants from its meticulousness and beauty.
The cooking class is one of the activities under the project “Thai kitchen to the world” which aims to promote Thailand through authentic Thai food, as well as to make known of Thai food products and ingredients throughout the world market.
