On 20 June 2014, the Royal Thai Consulate-General, Kota Bharu organized the “Happiness to Thai People of Gua Musang” program, bringing its mobile consular team to Kelantan’s Gua Musang district to provide passport and document registration services to Thai people residing in the district, which approximately 3 hours away from Kota Bharu. Consul-General Jackrid Kanjanasoon took this opportunity to visit Thai citizens who are residing in remote areas and have limited access to the Consulate-General’s services, bringing them food and drinks as well as listening to their stories. On the same day the Royal Thai Consulate-General held a meeting to explain the latest developments of the political situation in Thailand, allowing the Thai community in Gua Musang to understand and have stronger confidence in the current situation, and also to be able to explain the situation to their family members who are Malaysian citizens.
