Subject: Permanent Secretary’s authority to approve budgetary spending

                        Pursuant to the Announcement of the National Peace and Order Maintaining Council No.16/2557 dated 22 May 2014, appointing the Permanent Secretaries of all Ministries to act in the capacity of respective Ministers until further notice;

                        In order to ensure that governmental administration by the NCPO can be carried out in an orderly and uninterrupted manner, the NCPO hereby orders that:

                        1) The approval of any project or plan under Ministerial authority must be submitted for consideration to the chief of each section of responsibility, who are tasked with the management, control, and supervision of governmental administration according to the structure of duties and responsibilities specified in the Announcement of the National Peace and Order Maintaining Council No. 22/2557 dated 23 May 2014.

                        2) The implementation of any project or plan to alleviate public hardship, even those already approved by the previous government, must be re-submitted for approval by the chief of each section as specified in paragraph 1) above.
