Announcement of the National Peace and Order Maintaining Council

Subject: Broadcasts of Radio Broadcasting Stations, TV Broadcasting Services and Community Radio Stations.

* * * * * * * * * *

            In order to ensure that news and information are disseminated to the public accurately and to ensure continuing and up-to-date communication between central and regional administrations; pursuant to Sections 10 and 11 of the Martial Law Act B.E. 2457 (1914), radio broadcasting stations, TV broadcasting services, satellite and cable TV stations are to implement the following:

            1. All radio broadcasting stations, both public and private, are to suspend their programmes and to broadcast programmes from the Royal Thai Army radio station;

            2. All TV broadcasting services, both public and private, are to suspend their programmes and to broadcast programmes from the Royal Thai Army radio and television channel;

            3. All satellite and cable TV stations are to suspend their programmes and to broadcast programmes from the Royal Thai Army radio and television channel.

            This announcement shall take effect immediately until further notice.
