Announcement of the National Peace and Order Maintaining Council

Subject: Restrictions on Movement of Persons

With reference to the previous announcement regarding the control of national administration by the National Peace and Order Maintaining Council (NPOMC) from 16.30 hrs on 22 May 2014 onwards;

Pursuant to Section 11 of the Martial Law Act B.E. 2457 (1914), the NPOMC hereby issues the following measures:      

1.  All citizens in the Kingdom are prohibited from leaving their accommodation between 22.00 – 05.00 hrs. effective from 22 May 2014 onwards, except when allowed by relevant officials, so as to prevent harmful activities being carried out against the public;

2.  All officials who have duties as stipulated in the Martial Law Act B.E. 2457 (1914) are ordered to carry out their responsibilities in the designated areas and timeframe;             

These measures shall take effect immediately until further notice.
