Beautiful jazz sound in Thai rhythm--The Royal Thai Embassy in Prague proudly presented a jazz concert of 'The Sound of Siam', a contemporary Thai band, flown from Bangkok to play a concert at St. Anne's Church-The Prague Crossroads on the evening of April 28th, in order to take part in the series of the Thai Cultural Spring Festival 2014 in Prague, a special activity designed for celebrating the 40th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Thailand and the Czech Republic. On this occasion, H.E. Dr. Hynek Kmoníček, Director of Foreign Department of the Office of the President and his wife also cordially attended the concert.

'The Sound of Siam' contemporary Thai band is led by Mr. Koh Saxman, a renowned Saxophonist of Thailand and joined by several leading Thai musicians, who specialize in blending the harmonious sound from western musical instruments together with Thai traditional musical instruments. The band joyfully invited the audiences in the Church to take an imaginational trip to Thailand and to feel the charming atmosphere of Thai cities by listening to their beautiful jazz sound. They played many outstanding Thai songs, as well as the compositions of His Majesty the King Bhumibol of Thailand and a special song created for the celebration of diplomatic ties of our two countries. The songs have impressed the guests, Czechs and diplomats, deeply and also shown the beautiful rhythm of Thai music that can be blended together with the western jazz style perfectly.
