On 28 February - 1 March 2014, the Royal Thai Embassy, in collaboration with the Thai Students Association in Malaysia (TSAM) and Thai Students Society of the University of Malaya (TSSUM), organized the Annual Networking Seminar of Thai Students in Malaysia, with the objectives of building a strong network of Thai students in Malaysia, enhancing potential and leadership skills of Thai student leaders, preparing Thai students in Malaysia for the ASEAN Community, and exchanging views regarding lives and problems during their study with the Embassy staff. The seminar, which was officiated by Mrs. Makawadee Sumitmor, Charg? d'Affaires, a.i., under the theme "Modern thinkers with ASEAN spirit," was attended by some 120 Thai students from 10 public and private higher education institutions in Malaysia. The seminar consisted of 3 sessions, i.e., (1) ice-breaking and networking activities, (2) group discussion and brainstorming, and (3) special lectures by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jaruwat Songmuang, Assistant Rector of Fatoni University, and Mr. Samai Charoenchang, Member of the Board of the Education Council of Thailand.
